My name is Sabrina. I live in small town in WA state where it rains, a lot. I’m sure most of you have heard about the rain in the Seattle area. Well it’s true. lol
Anyway, I am a wife of 23 years. My husband Jeffrey is amazing. He is kind, gentle, loving, honest, hardworking, well I could go on and on, but that would bore you so I won’t. I have 2 amazing young adult children. Yep, that’s what I said. They are amazing. I can’t imagine life without them. They grew up so fast and I am excited to see what comes their way next.
Aside from being a wife and mother of 2, I also have my mom living just down the road from is and I am a part time caregiver for her. I enjoy that most of the time.
I decided to start blogging because, I feel like life has tried to teach me a thing or 2 and I hope I have learned something. haha We have yet to see. I really wanted to share my “things” and thoughts with you. Life as a believer in Christ, encouragement for those who are married, my love for cooking and baking. mmmm!
Also, my journey with the loss of my dearest friend 4 years ago from diabetes, my daddy. This has been the hardest thing I’ve ever been through as an adult. I had a pretty rough childhood, but that was so long ago. I may have forgotten the worst of it.
I love shopping for shoes, bags, jeans, scarves, coats and well okay, I am a girl, you get the idea. 🙂
I also like to grocery shop. I love finding new and better foods to feed my family. My main goal is to shop, cook and serve mostly Organic, non GMO, real foods at least 80% of the time. I will not lie and say we are a 100% Organic, non GMO family. That simply isn’t true.
However, I want to be as close to that as possible. I love to shop at Trader Joes. They are my fav! I also, love to shop online at ThriveMarket.com. I get at least 1/3 of our grocery items from them. I must tell you I read labels on everything. If I don’t know what something is I will “google” it right there in the store.
When I began this journey 5 years ago, I spent 5 hours in 1 grocery store just reading labels.
I love to take pictures and attend car shows in the summer. I love spending time in the sun with my husband Jeffrey or alone with my thoughts. I love my coffee any time day or evening. It doesn’t matter to me. I am a Pinterest fanatic and can be on there for hours!! I will pin, pin, pin till I can’t pin no more. lol But I will also try the things I pin. I get so many great ideas from Pinterest.
When I began All Things Genuine, I wanted to share what I learn about DIY, natural living, healthy and clean eating, moving to mostly sugar free and almost no processed foods, natural healing and how it worked for me and the fam.
However, over the course of the last 3 years All Things Genuine has morphed into a place for me to share the Word of God with you. To share how the Lord has touched me and to encourage my readers in their walk with Jesus.
My HOPE is we can share life together, encourage and love one another, and just be Genuine.
If all this sounds good to you, please subscribe to receive at least 1 post a week, but never more than 2 in your email each week.
Though I fall, I will rise again. Micah 7:8
Love the site Sabrina! Jeni is going to love it to and I am sure you get lots of feedback from her on it as she to is “caring for mom”. I wish you the best in this new endeavor, God Bless!
