10 Scriptures on Joy
The word JOY is in the Bible 242 times. That tells me that Joy is important to the Lord. If it’s important to Him, then it should be invaluable to us. I searched Joy on Bible Gateway and 242 verses came up. I read through them, and chose 10 that stuck out to me.
In 2017, I want Joy to be what I seek every day in every situation. In order to do that, I need the Word to remind me. I’m thinking I will write these on note cards or in a note book to begin memorizing them. That will help. When we memorize and meditate on the Word, God speaks. When God speaks, we change. I want to change.
Listed below are those 10 Scriptures on Joy. I hope you will memorize these with me. Seek Joy and hear the Lord speak.
Psalm 5:11
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.
Psalm 28:7
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield;

My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.

Galatians 5:22-23

I like this next one too. Even though the word is rejoice, I wanted to add it.
Psalm 30:5
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
Last December I wrote another post on Joy. Joy is A Fruit of the Holy Spirit. This post has other verses on Joy you can check out as well.
