God Is On The Move

God is on the move, have you heard that song? It’s my new favorite.
It’s by 7eventh Time Down

Here’s a snippet of the  lyrics :
Anytime a heart turns from darkness to light
Anytime temptation comes and someone stands to fight
Anytime somebody lives to serve and not be served
I know, I know, I know, I know
God is on the move, on the move
Hallelujah
God is on the move
In many mighty ways
God is on the move, on the move
Hallelujah
God is on the move
On the move today

God is on the move

Here’s a link to the song:

I love the beginning lyrics, “anytime a heart turns from darkness to light, anytime temptation comes and someone stands to fight”

I love that because we often times think that when God is on the move, it’s big things.  It’s people coming back from the brink of death miraculously, saving a whole village  or ending world hunger.

But the beginning of this song reminds us that little things show that God is on the move.

Things like a woman praying for her husband and he excepts Christ. Or praying for financial freedom and you get a return on your escrow from your house that you weren’t expecting. Even things like praying that God would provide you a car and you end up getting a brand-new one instead of the used clunker you were expecting to purchase the next day.

Praying for healing in relationships within your family, and seeing just little tiny things that show you peoples hearts are changing. Peoples hearts are changing because God is on the move.

God is moving even in the smaller things.  When we make a choice to do the right thing instead of the easy thing. Like being honest, kind, friendly, loving, showing compassion and mercy.  Sometimes those things are not in our nature, so when we choose to show love to someone we really don’t like, God is on the move.

Look For Yourself

Funny thing about this song, when I listen to it, I start to look for those little things. There’s little things that I wasn’t expecting to see and right before me there they are.

It also reminds me, we only have three easy things to do. Pray, believe and watch God move.

Please listen to this song, even if you’ve heard it several times before.  Then this week look for those small things that show, God is moving in your life, in your prayers and in the lives of those around you. When we look and find these things, our faith and trust grow for the Lord and we have hope, joy and peace anyway.

Psalms 30:5

For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.

Where have you seen God move lately that you weren’t expecting?  What prayers has He finally answered?

Have a lovely week and enjoy the sun.
