My Version of the Proverbs 31 Lady

Proverbs 31

 The Wife of Noble Character

A wife of noble character who can find?
    She is worth far more than money.

Her husband has full confidence in her
    and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm,
    all the days of her life because she loves and respects him.

She selects clothes and food
    and works with eager hands because she likes to cook.

She is like the semi trucks
    bringing her food from Trader Joes and Walmart. (Cuz her teenage adults eat so much)

She gets up while it is still night; because it’s the only time she has to herself.

She provides food for her family
    and portions for her teenage adult live ins.

She considers the budget before she buys anything then says oh well and buys stuff anyway;
    out of her earnings she plants a garden in hopes that someone will eat vegetables this year.

She sets about her work vigorously; (once she’s had coffee)
    her arms are strong for her tasks, because she actually did a workout this morning.

She sees that her work outside the home is profitable,
    and her lamp does not go out at night. (Oh yes it does, she is exhausted)

In her hand she holds the serving spoon
    and plate as she serves her teenage adult live ins.

She opens her checkbook to the poor
    and extends her hands to the needy.

When it snows, she has no fear for her household; she lives in W. WA where it almost never snows and if it does the whole world comes to a screeching halt.

She buys furnishings for her home;
    she is clothed in cheap linen and purple, from Walmart and Amazon because that’s all she can afford.

Her husband is respected at church
    where he plays bass on the worship team.

She makes crafty things she sees on Pinterest when she has extra cash for supplies and finds time to do them.

She is clothed with strength and dignity;
    she can laugh at the days to come. Lord willing.

She speaks with wisdom
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.  She has tons of gray hair to prove she is wise.

She watches over the affairs of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.  Except after 8pm when she can sit and relax with her husband.

Her teenage adult live ins are grateful for all she does for them;
    her husband stands by her side and he praises her for being a great mom.

Many women do noble things,
    but you hope to just be content with what God gave you.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring praise to the Lord!
